This Weekend Inspired Me—And I’m Sharing It With You

This weekend was such a blessing—and it left me inspired to share something special with you as we prepare for 2025.

First, I stepped out of my comfort zone—or maybe I should say I stepped back into my zone. For the first time in years, I participated in a vending event, and let me tell you, it wasn’t easy, but it was SO worth it!

My ‘Equipped by God’ journal sold out completely, and I learned something important: people crave tools that guide them, not just blank pages.

Later that day, we had our family’s annual cookie party—a tradition where the women in my family get together and make cookie dough from scratch to share for holiday cookies. But it’s more than just baking—it’s a full-on contest!

Here are the rules: You must bring all your ingredients (flour, sugar, butter, bowl, etc.), and nothing premade. The goal is to make delicious cookies to share, but here’s the twist: the person who makes the WORST cookies gets crowned the Cookie Queen!

Yes, you read that correctly: the Cookie Queen title goes to the one who flops the hardest. This year, my mom took the crown (check out the pic!).

The night was filled with laughs, cooking, and love. It reminded me of something so much bigger than cookies: the legacy we’re building—not just in family traditions but also in how we spend our time, grow spiritually, and set an example for future generations.

Both experiences reminded me how important it is to be intentional about the legacy we leave behind—and how that starts with the choices we make today.
